This band are experienced at playing
for ceilidhs (some times spelled ceili) or barn dances, weddings,
parties and corporate functions.
Their caller will help even the most inexperienced dancers
enjoy the evening.
Available as a 4-piece, including caller,
they are sure to create a sensational atmosphere at any event.
The Climax Ceilidh Band started around
2003 when two trios, Meridian and Pesky, decided to play together
in one big, exciting band. With a little help from the Folk
Camp Society, the Stag Tuesday session in Hastings and some
agency gigs, Climax was born.
The band writes a lot of its own material,
while maintaining all that is best from the traditional repertoire.
They make music which is as good for the ears as it is for
the dancers. Their unusual and original slants on the music,
and diverse musical influences, make them sound like no other
ceilidh band.
The driving rhythms of the accordion
and guitar, the sweet sound of the dancing fiddles, the swift
trill of the flute and the power of the pipes makes the Climax
Ceilidh Band experience truly uplifting!
