The
new sixties show featuring Jamie Goddard
The ZOOTS show consists of classic
sing-a-long songs and dance floor fillers to entertain audiences
of all ages. Including hits from The Beatles, The Searchers,
The Rolling Stones, The Monkees, The Kinks, The Small Faces,
The Who and also features songs from solo artists such as
Van Morrison, Andy Williams, Elvis and Neil Diamond. ZOOTS
have captured the essence of the sixties with authentic costumes
and the use of vintage equipment such as the violin bass and
the Vox guitar amps. They aim to recreate the sound and look
associated with many acts during the most exciting musical
times during in the 20th Century. The ZOOTS show aim to take
the audience on a journey back through time with lots of participation
to encourage dancing and singing along. The show has been
tailored to suit all age groups with songs that are still
relevant today. The show is becoming a real hit and is already
expanding to private events and theatres.
Jamie put together a sixties show ZOOTS
for the 2009 season at Butlins and has relished the chance
to perform his favourite era of music. The band for the show
includes drummer ‘Stuart Turner’ (who has worked
with Jamie since 2001), keyboard player ‘Nick Keys’
(who has worked with the likes of Rick Wakeman & Chesney
Hawkes) and old school friend and bassist, ‘Kevin Joyce’.
Jamie is a talented singer guitarist
and band leader born in Reading.
He has enjoyed touring all over the world singing & performing
since he was ten years old and is also a Gold Selling songwriter.
Jamie’s was the lead singer and
guitarist in the resident band at Hammersmith Palais for two
years and has performed over 200 shows at Butlins holiday
resorts since 2006. He has performed alongside and worked
with artists such as T’pau, Tony Hadley, East 17, Toyah,
Chesney Hawkes, M People, Doctor & the Medics, Nick Kershaw,
Jason Donovan, Musical Youth, Betty Boo, Rick Parfitt, Bad
Manners and many more.
Charity is something Jamie is often
involved in and played for Children in Need which was featured
on BBC1 for his debut TV performance in 2004.
In May 2005 helped raise £20,000
for The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign. 2007 Jamie’s
band was involved in ‘The Chesney Hawkes Xmas Cracker’
event raising £25,000 for The White Lodge Centre. Jamie
also performed to raise money for Thames Valley Hospice, The
Tsunami Appeal, Scope, Comic Relief and many more. Jamie is
also actively involved in charitable Schools project where
he tours encouraging young people to get involved in music.
